brooklyn based photographer & potter

I was nine years old the first time I was moved by a photograph. I was sitting in the lobby of an office, when I saw Steve McCurry's Afghan Girl looking out at me from that iconic issue of National Geographic's. It didn't take long after that to find a film camera and fall utterly in love.

Over the years, I have carried the lure of that photo with me as I make my own work. Capturing unique beauty and quiet connection with a lens and film will forever intrigue me, and be my focal point, as I continue taking photos.

My second, and more recent love, is of clay. I discovered the wheel through a need of a bit of organized chaos and a kinesthetic sense of creating. I have fallen in love with cultivating collections that embody my aesthetic and that can be shared with loved ones and beyond.

With strong roots in the Pacific Northwest, I am currently residing in Brooklyn, continuing to harbor my artistic curiosity through film and the ceramics wheel, while balancing my career as a photo producer.
